TRIPS!

Trips! It is the time of the year for the annual surf trip to Wells Beach, Maine.  Mark Friday, Saturday and Sunday after Labour Day (September 5, 6,7, 2008) off on your calendar because were going surfing!!!!!!!

We are following the same format as last year,
For the cost of 130CAN$, you will have all of your surfing needs included:
 - Rental of surf board and wetsuit for three days of surfing
 - An instructional introduction to surfing by surfers experienced in Maine
 - Camping accommodations for Friday and Saturday night.
 - 3 meals: a hot dog roast, and two breakfasts.

After the success of our first two trips, we are very optomistic about future trips.  Although we have not got to the point of getting some hookups with airlines yet we are still planning some exotic and exciting trips.  For next year we are expecting to visit Montauk (Long Island), Hatteras (North Carolina),  and obviously Wells, Beach (twice).  So start saving your pennies, and get ready for what is promissing to be an exciting summer.

 
HARD CORE SURF CAMPS!
We are offering a new feature to the club!  We will call it  "When it swells, ride it!"  When there is forecasts of moderate to large to extreamly large swell on the horizon, we will be acting fast, calling our hookups, and heading out.  The trips will be, as the name suggests... HARD CORE!!!! We will leave after work on Friday, surf all day Saturday, most of the day Sunday, then head back Sunday night with stories of splendid surfing to tell everyone.  Email chris@surfmtl.com if you would like to be added ot the mailing list for these types of trips! 

I hope everyone has had an excellent summer.  The time has finally arrived 
for Surf Montreal's second annual trip to Wells Beach, Maine.  We'll be 
storming the East Coast hurricane swells on The weekend after labor day!  There might even be a second or thrid trip after that, depending on the surf reports! 

 
We've planned this whole thing on a 
shoe-string budget and we're confident that short of sleeping on the 
streets, you won't be able to surf the ocean for cheaper.
 
For the cost of 130CAN$, you will have all of your surfing needs included:
 - Rental of surf board and wetsuit for three days of surfing
 - An instructional introduction to surfing by surfers experienced in Maine
 - Camping accommodations for Saturday and Sunday night.
 - 3 meals: a hot dog roast, and two breakfasts.
 
To minimize the cost, transportation will be carpooling so drivers are 
needed! If you have a valid driver's license, access to a reliable car and 
are interested in driving, PLEASE LET US KNOW ASAP!! (Gas will be split by 
the riders in each car and we hope to fit as many people as comfortable in 
each car)
 
We will be camping at the Ocean View Campground in Wells Beach.  Wheels 
and Waves surf shop will be providing our equipment rentals. Aptly named, 
Ocean View is right next to the water and is providing a large private group 
site. Wheels and Waves Surf Shop will also have plenty of boards and gear 
available, including high performance boards available for rent.
 
If you already have equipment, surfboard and wetsuit (or are not going to surf), and would like to join 
us for an amazing surfing camp, let us know as we have a special price for 
camping and the three meals.
 
Can't come for the whole trip but want to join up with us later on in the 
day or have to leave earlier?  We will give you all the directions and maps needed.
 
So bring your friends and come try ocean surfing in  Maine. We welcome first-timers all the way to seasoned experts. There are  plenty of further details (itinerary, wave condition details, etc) so let us 
know ASAP if you're interested and we will send you the registration form. We're looking to have a group of about 20  people so space is definitely limited!!

Trips will be available to surfing club members. These trips will be planned and organized by Surf Montreal offering a phenomenal surfing experience at a reasonable cost.
The trips will head to known ocean surfing destinations starting on the east coast of the United States and as popularity rises anything is possible. The unique thing about our trips is that they are ocean surfing trips organized leaving and returning to Montreal for Montrealers of any surfing level.
Our trips have your utmost satisfaction as our priority and we strive to plan trips that will be exciting, fun filled, and provide the members with an amazing ocean surfing experience. 
 
What is included?
The price of the trip will include camping, first night's meal and breakfasts (we will eat other meals either on the beach or at local restaurants), surfing rentals, and lessons (if needed).

The price of any trip organized by Surf Montreal is priced in a way that would offer you the best value for your dollar.  We are very selective with the selection of our campgrounds, surf locations, and lessons.
